Traditions

Seville maintains folkloric Spanish traditions like no other city in Spain. The indisputable center of flamenco and bullfighting, Seville also organizes the most elaborate Easter Week processions in the world. It's the best place to get a glimpse of old-world Spain, and therefore makes for a spectacular Spanish school setting.

Flamenco

Seville is located in the heart of flamenco territory, making it one of the very best cities to experience this passionate art form... especially in the Triana district, Seville's historic gypsy neighborhood. You can even learn how to dance, sing or play flamenco with professionals in Seville's many flamenco schools!

If you want to learn how to dance flamenco, Enforex Seville is happy to step in and help! You can learn how to dance flamenco along with the history of the art form with our Spanish + Flamenco course at Enforex Seville. The program includes 8 hours of lessons per week with professional dancers at a highly respected flamenco school in Seville; these lessons complement the Spanish language lessons you will receive at our Spanish school.

Museums

Whether you're interested in popular customs, art or ancient archaeology, Seville has museums for every taste. One of the most impressive is without a doubt the magnificent Museum of Fine Arts, where you can see the works of Spain's greatest artists within the magnificent setting of a 13th century former convent.

***BONUS! If you want to learn more about the art you see around you in Seville's wonderful art museums, our Spanish + Art History may be just what you're looking for. Not only will you walk away with an in-depth perspective on Spanish art history, but your Spanish will improve more than you could ever imagine!

Festivals

Seville is famous around the globe for its one-of-a-kind festivals. Learn more: Seville Festivals

Theater

Seville is a city packed with cultural venues and, when locals and visitors want an evening at the theater, there's no shortage of options. The two most impressive theaters are the Maestranza and the Teatro Lope de Vega. So whether you're looking for feisty flamenco performances, experimental theater, opera or classic plays, you're sure to find it in Seville.

Tapas

Another typically Spanish custom is to eat tapas- and Seville claims to be the birthplace of this culinary tradition! Story has it that Spanish bartenders used to cover ("tapar") a glass of wine with a free plate of ham or cheese, a practice which evolved evolved into bars serving small portions of food rather than big, sit-down meals. Tapas culture thrives in Seville, so you can hop from bar to bar with the locals and taste all the Spanish and local specialties.

***BONUS! Our school is located in the heart of Santa Cruz, a neighborhood brimming with all sorts of neat little tapas bars. It's the perfect location for grabbing a quick bite to eat after class!
